My Skowhegan Residency

At Skowhegan I managed to make my own stretchers and I started two large paintings, in addition to a series of small and medium size drawings. Swimming in the lake almost every day, I was drawn to paint a body of water and attempt to depict (with paint), the quietude, the transparency, fluidity, reflection and ‘depth’ (memory) of water. Water is, and will become a big issue as water resources and reservoirs are dwindling…it’s a life source that we should treat with great care. Since this picture was taken, I worked more on this painting, and currently completing it in my NYC studio.
